John Blanchard, the founder of ACP, LLC, started in the construction and maintenance business after serving in the United States Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1977.  He attended and graduated from ITI Technical College utilizing his benefit under the G. I. Bill.

John started working upon graduation as an instrument helper.  He progressed through the trade becoming an instrument fitter, then a technician, a foreman, a superintendent and eventually a project manager/estimator/salesperson.  After returning from an international assignment as intrumentation superintendent in 1987, John traveled to California to assist in the construction and startup of multiple industrial facilities which included refineries, power generation and 

solar plants.  In 1996 John started his own electrical and 

instrumentation construction company.  In 2003, John incorporated Automated Controls and Power in Lafayette , Louisiana.  In the last seventeen years, the company has gone on to work around the world for a diverse customer base with a varied portfolio.  John and his family are 100% shareholders of the company and all decisions are
